How to Bid
Online auctions are much easier than live auctions because you can bid from the comfort of your home!
Week-Long Auctions
All Dream Online Auctions last a week, giving you plenty of time to:
- Research each item you're interested in
- Decide how much you want to spend
- Attend our in-person preview days
- Place your bids at your convenience
Getting Started
Register on HiBid
Click on any auction photo on our website to go to HiBid. Click "Register to Bid" and fill out your information. A credit card is required for registration but will NOT be charged - it's for authorization only.
Browse & Research
Once registered, browse all items in the auction. View photos, read descriptions, and attend our preview days to see items in person.
Place Your Bids
Found something you want? Enter your maximum bid. The system bids for you in $2 increments against other bidders, up to your maximum.
Win & Pay
If you win, you'll receive an invoice. Payment is completed on-site at pickup. We accept credit card, debit card, or cash.
Pick Up Your Items
Bring your invoice to the designated pickup location and time. Bring help for heavy items and your own boxes/packing materials.
Bidding Tips
Maximum Bids
Don't be afraid to leave a maximum bid! Your bid only increases by $2 at a time as the software bids for you against others.
Notifications
Enable email notifications to be alerted when you're outbid. This gives you a chance to increase your bid if you want the item.
Preview Days
Whenever possible, attend our preview days to see items in person before bidding. Check each auction listing for preview times and locations.
Important Information
Payment
- Payment is made in person at pickup
- We accept: Credit Card, Debit Card, Cash
- Your registration credit card is NOT charged automatically
- Bring your invoice with you
Pickup
- You are responsible for picking up items you win
- Dream Auctions does not provide shipping for large items
- Bring help for heavy items
- Bring your own boxes, crates, tools, and packing materials
Small Items
- We offer shipping on small items Canada-wide
- Contact us to arrange shipping after you win
- Shipping costs are additional
